'The Greatest Space Generation' discussion at U.S. Space & Rocket Center

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Ed Buckbee, former Executive Director of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, leads a panel discussion on the newly published book, “The Greatest Space Generation,” Thursday, July 14, at 5:30 p.m. Included on the panel are four contributors to the book: Jay Foster, Jim Splawn, Heidi Collier and Dr. Deborah Barnhart. Buckbee, who led the communications team at Marshall Space Flight Center during the Apollo era, edited the compilation that covers the work of the scientists, engineers and others who sent American astronauts to the moon. The panel discussion will take place in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration’s National Geographic Theater. The Rocket Center’s Biergarten also takes place each Thursday evening from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., so guests are welcome to grab a drink before settling in for this panel. Copies of “The Greatest Space Generation” will be available for sale before the event, and a book signing follows the discussion. In addition to the panel, many of the other book’s contributors will be on hand for the signing. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center receives all proceeds from book sales, with purchases supporting the Center’s renowned STEM education programs.
