Lotus owners group visits U.S. Space & Rocket Center

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The U.S. Space Rocket Center is hosting members of the Lotus Owners Gathering 37, a group of enthusiasts and owners of the British-built vehicles, this Sunday, May 21. Dozens of the high-performance automobiles are arriving at Davidson Center for Space Exploration Parking lot around 10 a.m. The Rocket Center’s NASA Emeritus Docents will give the Lotus owners group a tour and talk about other high-performance vehicles, including the Saturn V Moon Rocket and the space shuttle. The Rocket Center event is part of a four-day gathering of Lotus owners from all over the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In addition to the trip to Huntsville, the group will have an all-day track event at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday, May 19, and an exhibit of the vehicles at Barber Motorsports Park, Sunday, May 21. The gathering ends with a track day at Barber Monday, May 22. Lotus owners will be available throughout their visit to the Rocket Center Sunday to talk to those interested in their vehicles.
