Teacher Appreciation Weekend at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is proud to salute teachers for their hard work and dedication by providing free admission to educators and one accompanying guest Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017 through Monday, Jan. 16. Teachers will need to present their educator identification for free admission. Visit rocketcenter.com for a list of frequently asked questions about who qualifies for free admission.

Along with the opportunity to tour exhibits such as “The Science of Archimedes” and “ISS: Science on Orbit,” teachers may also register to win a free Ultimate Field Trip to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center for their class.

Monday, Jan. 16, the Rocket Center’s education team will offer a free teacher workshop, “Stringing the Solar System: A workshop on scale, distance and NASA’s exploration of the Solar System,” at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Teachers who attend a workshop session will receive one hour of professional development credit. Each workshop is limited to the first 25 to sign up at the front ticket desk when they arrive.
