U.S. Space & Rocket Center hosts Team Alabama International Drone Day

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is hosting Team Alabama International Drone Day at its new outdoor netted flight space Saturday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day’s activities include demonstrations of the latest in drone technology, educational sessions focusing on safety and flight requirements and Multi GP-sanctioned races. Drones will be available for those wanting to try their hand at flying one, and professional operators will provide assistance to individuals learning to fly. This family-friendly event is free to the public. Sarah and David Oneal of “That Drone Show” founded International Drone Day to educate the media, public and local governments about the positive use of drones.
