Created by the Science Museum of Minnesota, Raise the Roof: An Exhibit About Buildings presents an in-depth look at the architecture, engineering, physics and history of buildings and the often-overlooked impact they have on our everyday lives. Dwellings and structures from throughout time and around the world are on display, along with hands-on activities and interactive components that bring astonishing feats of engineering to life before your eyes. See the Bigelow Aerospace model of an inflatable space habitat and watch the DRASH portable shelter deploy, just like those used in the field by the military. Learn about the science and art of demolition, and team up with friends and family to create your own amazing structure with what you have learned!

UNCLASSIFIED: Military Kid Art Show is the first traveling museum exhibit of its kind, showcasing the life of a military child through art. This exploration of the subculture of the military child through artistic works shows visitors the strength, compassion, creativity and challenges overcome by children of military parents through multiple generations. With five thematic galleries containing works in mixed media, painting, video and photography, UNCLASSIFIED is sure to inspire those familiar with the military lifestyle and engender a deeper understanding between military and civilian communities.

Winner of (one of six) 2012 Newman’s Own Awards for innovative programs that improve the quality of life for military families, past and present – presented by General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the Pentagon.  This exhibit was made possible in part by:  Newman’s Own, Sprint Foundation, Fisher House Foundation, Military Times, American Overseas Schools Historical Society, Museum of the American Military Family, Military Kid Art Project, and Brats Without Borders.

This Powerful collection of 100 unique and distinguished photographs is a pictorial narrative sharing the history of two nations divided by war: Korea and Germany. The history of these divided nations is often unknown or forgotten. Korea remains divided after 60 years. Germany reunited just 25 years ago and now celebrates the 10 year anniversary of the highly successful Green Zone, European Green Belt. This thriving industrial area and nature preserve affirms that destructive divisions can heal, bring strength and unity.

Get ready for an a-MAZE-ing exhibit coming to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center! GPS Adventures is an introduction to all things Global Positioning System (GPS) – its history, current uses and future possibilities – all displayed within a 2,500 square foot maze! Visitors experience the thrill of geocaching – hunting for hidden treasure as they navigate from room to room using GPS enabled technology and their code-solving abilities. With wall graphics that represent four distinct locations – urban, city park, back-country and a historic site – visitors are immersed in a unique experience as they find their way.
