Museum Group Visits

General Requirements

• We accommodate groups during museum operating hours.
• A minimum of 15 paying guests is required to be considered a group.
• A 1:25 ratio of chaperones to students is required for student groups, and groups receive one complimentary chaperone admission for every 25 paid students.
  • Adults must accompany students at all times.
  • Parents and chaperones must be included in group numbers to be admitted with the group.
    • Adults for groups are 18+
    • Children 4 & under are free
• Daily Space Adventures and Ultimate Field Trips require a deposit s before arrival.  See below under PAYMENTS for deposit amounts and deadlines.
• Pre-registration is required for all groups.

Reservation Process

• Space is limited, so please book as early as possible so we can accommodate your group needs.
• Ultimate Field Trips must be booked at least 4 weeks in advance. Requests within 4 weeks will not be processed and will need to select an alternate date.
• Daily Space Adventures must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance.

Remember...

• Please plan for three to six hours to complete all activities and fully explore the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. We advise at least three to four hours to tour the museum. Additional time may be needed if your group would like to watch a movie, eat lunch, and/or participate in other experiences. Six hours are required for Ultimate Field Trips.
• Bus drivers receive complimentary general admission. Movie or show tickets are not included.

Payment

• DAILY SPACE ADVENTURES require a $100 non-refundable deposit due 2 weeks prior to your visit, with the total remaining balance due at check-in.
• ULTIMATE FIELD TRIPS require a $250 non-refundable deposit due 3 weeks prior to your visit, with the total remaining balance due at check-in.
• PLANETARIUM ONLY VISITS require a $50 non-refundable deposit due 2 weeks prior to your visit, with the total remaining balance due at check-in.
• For all groups, full payment is due upon arrival at check-in.
• One payment should be made for the entire group.
• We accept cash, school/district/institution checks, and all major credit cards.
• We do not accept purchase orders.

Refund Policy

• No refunds will be issued for headcount changes made within 48 hours of your group’s visit date. This only applies if you have paid in advance or bring a check for more than the amount that attending without notifying Guest Services or a Group Sales Coordinator 48 hours or more in advance.
• Refunds are unavailable for simulator closures due to inclement weather or required maintenance.
• Deposits for Ultimate Field Trips and Daily Space Adventures are non-refundable.

Lunch:

Groups of 50 or more can pre-order $12 Burger Box lunches from Galaxy Grill. Each box includes a cheeseburger, Oreo, chips, and a canned drink, with accommodations for dietary needs. 

Groups of 49 or fewer can pre-order from a menu with varying prices. 

For all pre-orders, payment is due upon arrival at Galaxy Grill (separate from your group reservation payment). We accept cash, card, or check—no advance payments. Orders must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Groups of any size may choose to bring sack lunches, but it must be for the entire group and must be nut-free to adhere to our allergy policy.
