In cooperation with local universities and Destination Huntsville, we would like to offer two additional options to Space Camp families:
- The opportunity for an on-campus visit to any of the following: The University of Alabama in Huntsville or Alabama A&M University or meet with alumni from Auburn University.
- Exclusive packaged experiences for parents while your camper is at Space Camp such as fishing, golf, local art, sightseeing, underground cocktail tours, wine & food tastings, BBQ and beer tastings, Unclaimed Baggage tour, Jack Daniels Distillery tour and many other experiences.
Fishing Experience
Spend a few hours, or even a day, experiencing a private fishing trip on the beautiful lake waters of North Alabama. Take in all the Alabama wildlife, the most biodiverse state in the country. Hop aboard a brand new Phoenix competition-level boat and have the opportunity to use the latest, high-quality fishing equipment and tackle available.
Duration: 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours

Included in Experience: Transportation to and from fishing location, a knowledgeable and experienced guide who will lead you to optimum spots on the water. Rod/reels, tackle, life jackets, water, and ice provided. Guests are welcome to bring other drinks and food.

Golf Experience
If you enjoy “hitting the links”, you'll love spending a few hours or even the day on one of North Alabama's beautiful golf courses. Courses include Huntsville Country Club, Robert Trent Jones Hampton Cove, Gunters Landing, Goose Pond Colony, Colonial Golf Course, and Sunset Landing Golf Course (tee times and locations are all based on availability).

Discover Lowe Mill
Immerse yourself in a world of local art with a guided tour through the nation’s' largest privately-owned arts facility! Peek in and see what Huntsville artists have to share in the way of chocolate, pottery, paintings, and even whiskey! With designated stops, your guide will assist you in meeting some of our most creative creatives.
First Stop: Visit one of the Northern Hemisphere's only Cigar Box Guitar stores! This playable art includes acoustic and electric cigar box bass guitars, amps, and tambourines. If you've never tried it, here's your chance!
Second Stop: Just as a spacecraft vibrates, so do guitars. Tour the workshop of a rocket scientist who makes some of the most beautiful collectible guitars and mandolins. Hear his story and see what makes his guitars so unique! (Featured on Samantha Brown’s Places to Love on PBS)
Final Stop: Meet an international artist trained as a cartographer by the British Government's Military Survey mapping agency who creates one-of-a-kind and very personal body art by drawing directly on the skin! David Nuttall designs plausible fictitious maps using the human body's natural shape, and other surfaces, to create terrain, roads, bodies of water, and anything else you might find on an actual map. Boozy History and Underground Cocktail Tour
Discover the history of downtown Huntsville on an exclusive excursion led by one of Huntsville's favorite local historians! Your informative guide will lead you to three of Huntsville's favorite underground bars and speakeasies. With secret passwords and hidden clues, you'll enjoy priority access, fascinating history, and craft cocktails from some of the best bartenders in the state!

Huntsville Sightseeing in Style
Soar over Huntsville for a view only a private helicopter tour can provide. Fly over the Rocket City’s terrain featuring numerous mountains and lakes before crossing over our vibrant downtown! This fantastic tour includes a champagne toast while taking in all of the natural beauty of Alabama.
