Outdoor Lunar Module Display

Outdoor Lunar Module out in Rocket Park

Built as part of the Rocket Center’s original outside landscape, this exhibit features a full-sized model of the Lunar Module and a surface that resembles the craggy lunar surface. However, this site was utilized for important testing by NASA in the early 70’s. During the Lunar Rover’s development, engineers used the LM to study how the sunlight’s reflection off its angled surfaces affected the parked rover.
