The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is the No. 1 tourist attraction in Alabama, but many of our community’s children have never visited.
We are changing that trajectory with Mission: Fourth Grade, which aims to send every local fourth grader on a field trip to the Rocket Center at no charge to them! The program will cover the cost of admission to the Rocket Center and a show in the INTUITIVE® Planetarium for students, chaperones, and attending nurses as well as transportation.
We’re launching this effort in 2026 with Huntsville City School fourth graders, upping our payload to include Madison City and Madison County students in 2027.
