Saving Skylab: Documentary and Panel Discussion

Join us in the National Geographic Theater on Thursday, August 17, at 6 p.m. to understand how the launch of Skylab almost doomed the project, as the solar arrays that powered the station were badly damaged at liftoff, leaving the station virtually powerless in orbit. Learn about the heroic efforts to find a solution and repair the station. This event will feature a showing of the documentary “Saving Skylab,” and will be followed by a discussion of just what it took to save the station.
