Media invited to U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s screening of "The Vietnam War" documentary

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Media is invited to cover either of two special preview screenings of the highly anticipated Ken Burns’ documentary, “The Vietnam War,” today at noon and 2 p.m., at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s National Geographic Theater. The Rocket Center is partnering with Alabama Public Television to offer the screenings.

The National Geographic Theater is located in the Davidson Center for Space Exploration. Admission to the 45-minute screenings is free, but reservations are recommended due to limited seating capacity. The Rocket Center is providing free general museum admission for Vietnam veterans only today from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., to honor their service and sacrifice to our country.

Accompanying family and friends must pay regular museum admission. 

Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s 10-part, 18-hour documentary series, “The Vietnam War,”  is set to air on APT beginning Sept. 17, 2017.
