Learn to love the icky and sticky world of bacteria and germs. Discover the microbiology worlds under a microscope and how bacteria and germs live and help shape the world around us.

Saturday, February 17 - Pour Your Heart Out - $90 per couple, $45 per individual

7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Join us for our 4th annual Pour Your Heart Out event! Celebrate Valentine's Day with an evening of food, drink and live music, then step outside and create your own Valentine Keepsake with our partners from Sloss Furnaces.

Tuesday, February 20 - John Glenn Earth Orbit Day (1962)

Join us as we celebrate the anniversary of the day the first American orbited the Earth! We will be created orbital Friendship 7 Bracelets in honor of his historical flight.

Every day for a week, we will be celebrating the different areas in STEAM in which women have made outstanding contributions! Each day, we will feature activities and mini exhibits for the unique roles Alabama Women have taken in history.

Circus Chemistry! Lions, Tigers, and Gummy Bears - Oh, my! Electrons move very fast and chemical reactions occur through these electron transfers. Discover this exciting science with elephant toothpaste and gummy bear explosive reactions!

Wednesday, March 14 - Albert Einstein's Birthday/Pi Day

Join us as we celebrate Pi Day and the amazing accomplishments of the iconic astrophysicist for his contributions in physics and space science.

Thursday, March 15 - Marshall Space Flight Center's Birthday (1960)

Discover NASA's  birthplace and the power of propulsion in Huntsville, Alabama. Build, launch and test fire your own air rocket!

Thursday, March 15 - First Biergarten of the season!

4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Join us as we kick off our Biergarten season with style! Enjoy authentic German cuisine in a festive atmosphere every Thursday night through October. Admission is free for this family-friendly event, and leashed dogs are welcome on the Apollo Terrace and Apollo Courtyard.
