The Space Camp Institute STAIRS Program, powered by NADPH in partnership with the USSRC, is building
the talent that will shape the future of technology, health, and innovation while supporting America’s leadership in STEM.

The STudent AI Innovation and Research Success (STAIRS) Program is a national training and workforce development initiative built on NADPH’s extensive work with respected organizations including the CDC, NIH, PCORI, RWJF, and others. This work involved partnering directly with communities of diverse backgrounds to deeply understand the policy, social, educational, and technical factors influencing their awareness, readiness, and capacity to participate in the AI innovation enterprise.
From this foundation, NADPH developed a proven innovation experience model for successfully delivering hands-on, experiential learning that equips students and early-career professionals with practical, high-demand skills in applied artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, critical problem solving, and innovation. Through immersive challenges, mentorship, and real-world projects, STAIRS participants gain the knowledge, experience, and confidence to lead in the industries shaping the future of technology—from healthcare to biotechnology, and beyond.
