Sonny truly is an extremely generous, compassionate, inspirational and humble human being. I cannot tell you how moved I was to talk with him – I got a little teary-eyed, but I did not want him to see that! From a distance I had no idea it was Sonny – I did not even know he was one of the Emeritus Docents!

We truly enjoyed the Biergarten. For my husband and I, we would like to acknowledge Mike Pessin, a volunteer who spent time with us and brought the exciting Rocket history alive for us. He is a gem.

Just had to sing the praises of one of your volunteer docents, Glen Harper. We had the great good luck of being guided through the Saturn V hall by this gentleman. This was my second time to visit, but the first time for my nephew & my girlfriend, all of us from Southern California. Glen just made it so meaningful, I felt I never really understood what I was seeing the first time. His father contributed to the Saturn V and he had side stories to add. We will always have fond memories of our day there, especially because of Glen. The Space Center is such a great place to visit!

Meeting [Brooks Moore] was the highlight of our trip to the Space Center and one of the best experiences of my life. Meeting [him] felt like I was meeting one of the most important figures in American History. … The staff and contractors that made space exploration a reality, set the bar for the world.
