Our Planetarium will be closed for updates from May 26th through June 3rd. During this time, we will not be doing shows in the planetarium.

  • HyperShip

    This HD motion-based simulator is a five-minute, multi-sensory experience that combines a movie-like audiovisual presentation using a high-definition projection screen and surround sound, with the motion of the ride compartment. There are different rides available, including “Red Baron” and “Black Hole.” You must be at least 36 inches tall to ride. You should not ride this simulator if you have pregnancy, epilepsy, motion sickness, claustrophobia, a history of heart conditions, shoulder, neck or back problems, abnormal blood pressure, or any other major medical problems.
  • Spring Skies

    Learn about the Spring night sky and the various objects that are visible at this time of year, in this live and interactive presentation. Your personal tour guide to the cosmos will teach you to navigate through the sky and highlight constellations, planets, and even some deep sky objects such as galaxies and nebulae. This presentation is great for all ages and is a traditional planetarium experience with a modern kick.
  • Dare to Explore: Frontiers of Space

    Dare to Explore: Frontiers of Space is a new and evolving exhibit showcasing current and future technologies of space exploration, such as a 1/10th scale model of ULA’s Vulcan rocket, Boeing’s Starliner Pressure Capsule test vessel, a 1/0th scale model of NASA’s SLS rocket, Blue Origin’s Mannequin Skywalker, and coming soon, Chris Sembroski’s Inspiration4 SpaceX launch and entry suit.
  • Rocket Park

    Update: Rocket Row is now Open to the Public!The first phase of our beautifully renovated Rocket Park is ready for launch. Wander Rocket Row and learn about the advances in space exploration made possible by the Mercury Redstone, Juno II, Jupiter, Jupiter C, U.S. Army Redstone, and the Saturn I.
  • Shuttle Park

    Returning Soon! The iconic Pathfinder Shuttle Stack stands as a testament to the 30-year program that moved humans from a space-launch people to a space-dwelling people. The space shuttle’s main engines, external fuel tank and solid rocket boosters—the heart that powered the shuttle fleet—were designed, manufactured, and built in Alabama.
